Aloe bainsii
This massive specimen is over thirty years old. With a trunk girth of almost 4' its a giant show stopper.

Aloe bainsii X vaombe hybrids bare root

We grew several thousand of these in our tissue culture lab. A cross between bainsii and vaombe. They have very long green leaves that are very rubbery. Transportation becomes easier by just laying them in the truck bare root.

Aloe dichotoma
A large multiheaded aloe with a very thick trunk. This plant is approximately 25 years old and has been growing completely unattended. This plant must have no summer water! Locate in remote area away from irrigation. Check out this close-up of the head and also the close-up of the trunk texture.

Aloe marlothii
A single-headed arborescent aloe with yellow-orange inflorescence. Marlothii has thick, heavy leaves that are copiously spined. Zones 8,9,12-24 (Sunset Western)

Aloe petricola 5 and 15 gallon open hybrids
All grown from petricola seed. Many of these have developed some excellent shape and flowers.They appear more like our nearby marlothii than petricola!

Aloe pluridans box
Forms a small tree up up to 8' with a few branchs. Flowers are orange.Forms a small tree with interesting smooth branches. Makes a beautiful garden plant but needs some protection from frost. No zone information available.

Aloe speciosa box
Forms a small tree up up to 8' . Flowers are have an outstanding creamy pink tinge to them. Stays under 7'

Aloe striata 5gal
Small and spineless, Striata remains as a single head and never leaves the ground. Seldom gets any bigger than 18" in diameter. Inflorescence is red-orange and the leaves are striped with yellow-orange on the edges. Has been in cultivation throughout California for many years.

Aloe thraskii well developed garden specimen
Towering up to 30' this old thraskii is the mother of all our smaller thraskii plants. Thraskii are very distinctive with their gracefull arching revurved leaves. It is also very well adaped to coastal areas and can tolerate salt spray. In fact It's common name is Strand aloe or Dune aloe . Flowers are yellow.

This is about a 20-year-old specimen. It's reached about  20' and still going strong.
