Located on a private estate in scenic Malibu Canyon is one of the most unique nurseries in Southern California. Over the last 20 years, Serra Gardens has earned a reputation as the insider's resource for exotic succulents.

Our renown collection began in 1970 as a hobby shared by the late Dr. Victor Newcomer, and his son, current owner Don Newcomer. It quickly developed into a showcase garden with excess plant material for sale.

Today, landscape architects and contractors can choose from over 1000 varieties of plant material, all of which is field grown and well adapted to California coastal conditions. Displayed on picturesque growing grounds, our exotic specimens -- some of which are decades-old mature plants -- are both drought tolerant and fire resistant.

Due to the private nature of the Serra Retreat area, visits to our growing grounds are limited to qualified professionals. Weekdays, we are available by appointment only to certified Landscape Architects and Landscape Contractors.

But to satisfy the growing popularity of cacti and succulents, we offer most of our plant materials for purchase by the public through Cacti.Com. Plants can be shipped nation-wide via USPS.
